Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) U21 Russia's Leonid Dukalskiy started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Genrikh Bryksin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gennadiy Moskvin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Zanter, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Corvinus Gutmann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Gennadiy Moskvin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luka Sponagl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genrikh Bryksin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led U21 Russia's Georgiy Ishutin to fire away a dangerous shot which Luka Sponagl despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Zanter in the 20th minute of play forced U21 Russia's goalkeeper Gennadiy Moskvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Eibo Nacht sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and U21 Russia's Gennadiy Moskvin didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hinrik Hoff in the 28th minute of play forced U21 Russia's goalkeeper Gennadiy Moskvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Russia's Semen Chindyaskin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Heinrich Mann in the 33 minute of the game. Stepan Vinogradov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luka Sponagl having to make a save. U21 Russia's Ivan Kazakevich quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genrikh Bryksin got free with Luka Sponagl in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of U21 Russia booed when U21 Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Micki Bulgakov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gennadiy Moskvin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hinrik Hoff in the 97th minute of play. The U21 Germany supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 Russia's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 Russia.
