Tim Stöwer ran back to his position shaking his head. Bodo Haas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Weniger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bodo Haas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Abersell in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Béla Strothmann made a precise shot to the right of Bodo Haas. Rangsdorf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Franz-Peter Patschull made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Rangsdorf's Ildefonso Madeo. Bastian Abel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Itzigsohn, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After having played for 22 minutes, Michael Weniger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Weniger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Rangsdorf's goal looked a bit too open when Béla Strothmann came free, but Bodo Haas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Béla Strothmann notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Rangsdorf's Bodo Haas. Bodo Haas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute, Béla Strothmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Germany fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 37th minute of the match, Béla Strothmann tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bodo Haas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bastian Abel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Itzigsohn in the 39th minute of play. Benjamin Engel charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Bodo Haas was a little too slow when Valerian Hinz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 6-0. U21 Germany's Carl Kröger was substituted for Valerian Hinz. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafael Itzigsohn to make the kick off. Bodo Haas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Kröger in the 72nd minute of the match. Carl Kröger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bodo Haas having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. U21 Germany had won after a very even match.
