The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mark Toppel kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After 4 played minutes, Mittelort's Cem Özdemir shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fritz Dorneth came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mittelort reached it. 5 minutes into the match, Cem Özdemir had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fritz Dorneth. Gohfeld's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cem Özdemir was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Gohfeld's goal looked a bit too open when Cem Özdemir came free, but Fritz Dorneth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fritz Dorneth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Aschenberger in the 9th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Claas Küfner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moises Abeijon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralph Perschke in the 14th minute of the match. Mittelort's Moises Abeijon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Mittelort from getting a goal against them. Fritz Dorneth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cem Özdemir in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremy Dorn in the 21st minute of play forced Gohfeld's goalkeeper Fritz Dorneth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Karim Adeyemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute Cem Özdemir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fritz Dorneth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Gohfeld defense, Nils Aschenberger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fritz Dorneth. The Gohfeld fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fritz Dorneth should have stopped the shot. Moises Abeijon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralph Perschke, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Mittelort's goal looked a bit too open when Ralph Perschke came free, but Moises Abeijon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dirk-Justus Hasenjäger kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Mittelort's Cem Özdemir nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fritz Dorneth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Fritz Dorneth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cem Özdemir in the 39th minute of play. Fritz Dorneth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Winfried Mühlhäuser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Gohfeld's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremy Dorn came free, but Fritz Dorneth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gohfeld's Fritz Dorneth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cem Özdemir in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Mittelort's goal looked a bit too open when Karim Adeyemi came free, but Moises Abeijon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fritz Dorneth made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Jeremy Dorn sent off a good shot on target. In the 53rd match minute, Gohfeld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claas Küfner to maneuver through the defense. Fritz Dorneth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cem Özdemir went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 59 minutes into the match, Gohfeld's goal looked a bit too open when Winfried Mühlhäuser came free, but Fritz Dorneth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Mittelort was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juliusz Mosiniak to maneuver through the defense. Karl Brunner might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moises Abeijon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl Brunner ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeremy Dorn scored 0-5 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fritz Dorneth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fritz Dorneth was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Winfried Mühlhäuser capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Winfried Mühlhäuser really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. 74 minutes into the game, Cem Özdemir recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fritz Dorneth. Cem Özdemir showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. 82 minutes into the game, Mittelort's Jeremy Dorn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fritz Dorneth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. 85 minutes into the match, Gohfeld's goalkeeper Fritz Dorneth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremy Dorn. In the 85thth minute of the game Winfried Mühlhäuser who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gohfeld's Fritz Dorneth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Gohfeld's goalkeeper Fritz Dorneth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cem Özdemir. After 91 minutes, Cem Özdemir made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Gohfeld's Fritz Dorneth tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cem Özdemir struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Fritz Dorneth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mittelort. Mittelort's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
