An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudius Marsching in the 12th minute of play forced Gohfeld's goalkeeper Fritz Dorneth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gohfeld's Fritz Dorneth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin Backes in the 14th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Peres in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fritz Dorneth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karim Adeyemi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Siim Kikas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fritz Dorneth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Claudius Marsching notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Gohfeld's Fritz Dorneth. Fritz Dorneth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Gohfeld defense, Manuel Peres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fritz Dorneth. The Gohfeld fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fritz Dorneth should have stopped the shot.

The supporters of Gohfeld booed when De Gulden Draak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Ebner didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, De Gulden Draak's goal looked a bit too open when Karim Adeyemi came free, but Siim Kikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fritz Dorneth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudius Marsching, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the game, one of Gohfeld:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gohfeld's Fritz Dorneth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Gohfeld from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudius Marsching in the 75th minute of play forced Gohfeld's goalkeeper Fritz Dorneth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 played minutes De Gulden Draak got a freekick which was hit by Gert Porsche. Gert Porsche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Dorneth having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erwin Backes got free with Fritz Dorneth in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Gohfeld's Fritz Dorneth got control of the ball when Manuel Peres tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87th minute, De Gulden Draak's Manuel Peres ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fritz Dorneth. Fritz Dorneth yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Siim Kikas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralph Perschke, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. A collision led to De Gulden Draak getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Claudius Marsching hit a great ball. De Gulden Draak's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
