Scottish Premier League

1.

Season 74 has been brought to an end! Floodish are once again the Premier League champions. 22 games played and 21 wins! Best offence and best defence. A deserved champion in my opinion! Duncan has now won seven league titles in a row, can his old dogs get an eighth next season?

2.

Chelsea Headhunters will be disappointed not to win the league. However, they did win the U18 National Celtic Cup. They were very impressive winning 20 games out of 22. Losing the league by three points is a bitter pill to swallow! However, Duncan will have the Elite Cup as a way of easing that pain. Chelsea will be a dangerous beast next season and will really push to the limit.

3.

The young guns of North Face take the last Elite Cup place finishing 3rd with 52 points. All in all you would say it was a good season for North Face. 3rd and winning the National Celtic Cup U23s has to be down as a good season!

4.

TwojStaryPijany have just had their best finish to a Premier League Season. They finished 4th talling up 41 points. A dip in form near the end of the season could have cost them but in the end they secured 4th with a walkover win over Thank You.

5.

Falling down the table is Keith’s Alfordians. They had a strong finish at the end of the season but it was not enough to grab 4th place. The comfort is that he was a good 11 points ahead of Muir and Dragons.

6.

A very much improved 2nd half of the season seen Muir United secure a top half finish which was the target at the start of the season. Muir took 6th by goal difference having been 33 goals better of than Dragons. Major disappointment for Muir is in the youth cups where we wanted U18 or U23. However 3rd and 2nd finish only.

7.

Declans Dragons Disaster finished 7th. It will be classed a disappointing season for one of our senior teams. Dragons ended on negative goal defence by shipping in too many goals. An area that will need to be improved next season.

8.

Montgomerie Galaxy finished in the playoffs. It’s what Lisa wanted and expected at the start of the season. However, as results were going her way her goals chanced. Defensively Galaxy were very poor had had been turned over too many times. A few defenders and a Forward next season and she may just be a difficult customer! IF she wins they playoffs.

9.

In the last playoff place we have Grangemouth. James was aiming for a top 7 finish so will be disappointed that he now needs to perform in the playoffs. As with Galaxy a few defenders and forward and Grangmouth could do some damage!

10.

Newcomers Tradition Ways had a solid season despite been relegated. It’s a hard task coming up to the top flight. They played with grace and I’m very confident if the manager sticks around they will be back up with us sooner rather than later!

11.

Don’t know what happened with Bigar’s Alness. Not sure if he was offended with my tag as serial losers being that they are one of the oldest teams around and not won the SPL. Anyways I hope Bigar does not walk away and comes back bigger better and more energised! I would say he has a big war chest of cash so I any one in D1 has Alness in their league next season I would say unlucky!
