The supporters of U21 Tunisia booed when U21 Malaysia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dede Guci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmed Decastel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ari Alexander having to interfere. In the 12thth minute of the game Ahmed Decastel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Malaysia's Ari Alexander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmed Decastel in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ari Alexander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kameleddine Negrouz might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ari Alexander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kameleddine Negrouz ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Decastel in the 22nd minute of play forced U21 Malaysia's goalkeeper Ari Alexander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ari Alexander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Decastel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to U21 Malaysia getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Steve Romatua hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Ahmed Decastel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ari Alexander was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 42nd minute, Mulyana Romatua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dede Guci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yassine Gtari's late challenge caught a U21 Malaysia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yassine Gtari helped the player get up and apologised. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Steve Romatua made a kick off. Hatem Negrouz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mulyana Romatua, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute Mulyana Romatua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hatem Negrouz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to U21 Malaysia getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Steve Romatua hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Kameleddine Negrouz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mulyana Romatua might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hatem Negrouz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mulyana Romatua ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 64 in the game by Kameleddine Negrouz from a close distance when the talented Ari Alexander managed to make a qualified save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Romatua in the 83rd minute of play forced U21 Tunisia's goalkeeper Hatem Negrouz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kameleddine Negrouzs short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Ari Alexander to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dede Guci took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hatem Negrouz. Hatem Negrouz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Mulyana Romatua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
