Spectators: 1028 (Terracing: 772, Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Youssef Ben Jouili started the match with the kick off. Hector Ruiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kaies Zaalani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hector Ruiz ran back to his position shaking his head. Ziad Chedli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kaies Zaalani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Carballo, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Kaies Zaalani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Quiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaies Zaalani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Padilla in the 15th minute of the match. Leo Blen kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Carballo in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kaies Zaalani saved U21 Tunisia from getting behind. U21 Costa Rica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Quiros in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, U21 Tunisia's Faouzi Bnouni got a free kick in the 25th minute. Jaime Quiros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kaies Zaalani. U21 Tunisia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 27th minute, Ignacio Meckel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaies Zaalani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Quiros's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After 30 minutes U21 Tunisia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Quiros who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on U21 Costa Rica's corner Jaime Quiros fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kaies Zaalani quite easily take care of the ball. Luis Marin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kaies Zaalani having to make a save. Kaies Zaalani came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Costa Rica's Leo Blen. But to his dismay, Leo Blen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Kaies Zaalani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Quiros in the 39th minute of the match. Jaime Quiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Kaies Zaalani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When U21 Costa Rica's Elias Carballo in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Tunisia's goalie prevented a goal. The U21 Tunisia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Costa Rica were winning 0-2.

In the 53rd minute of the match, Jaime Quiros tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kaies Zaalani saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 54th minute of the match U21 Costa Rica got a corner. U21 Tunisia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Quiros ran over to the corner to take the kick. U21 Costa Rica's Jaime Quiros got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kaies Zaalani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Quiros in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Jaime Quiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hector Ruiz got free with Kaies Zaalani in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes into the match, Manrique Medina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaies Zaalani. U21 Tunisia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manrique Medina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. U21 Costa Rica made a substitution. Mauricio Contreras replaced Ignacio Meckel. Jaime Quiros struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Kaies Zaalani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Costa Rica. Kaies Zaalani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Padilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute Manrique Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaies Zaalani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Tunisia's Kaies Zaalani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Padilla in the 86th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Jorge Padilla lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Kaies Zaalani. With an all-out effort, U21 Costa Rica's Kaies Zaalani threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jaime Quiros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kaies Zaalani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Quiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaies Zaalani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Quiros in the 97th minute of the match.
