Seating: 1184, VIP seats: 103) U21 Malaysia's Romi Haryanto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, U21 India was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jagad Shahraj to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chajju Arora in the 4th minute of play forced U21 Malaysia's goalkeeper Budi Guci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jitinder Arneja in the 5th minute of play forced U21 Malaysia's goalkeeper Budi Guci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Malaysia's Budi Guci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jitinder Arneja in the 16th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, U21 Malaysia's goal looked a bit too open when Jagad Shahraj came free, but Budi Guci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Budi Guci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalila Lanong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Kalila Lanong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Budi Guci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Penn Cornelius kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, U21 India's Chajju Arora sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Budi Guci narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Budi Guci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalila Lanong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Romi Haryanto came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the U21 Malaysia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romi Haryanto couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chajju Arora in the 45th minute of play forced U21 Malaysia's goalkeeper Budi Guci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chajju Arora was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute Chajju Arora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Budi Guci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute Heri Hans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rajendra Dhaliwal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute U21 Malaysia were awarded a corner. Ari Wibowo went to the cornerflag to take it. Ari Wibowo made a great header on U21 Malaysia's corner, it was just that U21 India's Rajendra Dhaliwal managed to reach the ball for a save. 66 minutes into the match, U21 Malaysia's goal looked a bit too open when Kalila Lanong came free, but Budi Guci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Bhadrayu Sethi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Budi Guci. Bhadrayu Sethi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. After 71 played minutes U21 Malaysia got a freekick which was hit by Penn Cornelius. In the 79th minute, one of U21 Malaysia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for U21 Malaysia. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for U21 India. Kalila Lanong stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Budi Guci. 0-2. Rajendra Dhaliwal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romi Haryanto in the 83rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jitinder Arneja in the 85th minute of play forced U21 Malaysia's goalkeeper Budi Guci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jitinder Arneja took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Budi Guci. Budi Guci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 88th minute, U21 India's Jitinder Arneja ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Budi Guci. Budi Guci yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romi Haryanto in the 92nd minute of play forced U21 India's goalkeeper Rajendra Dhaliwal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, U21 Malaysia's goalkeeper Budi Guci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chajju Arora.
