Budi Guci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dabi Saens, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 9 minutes into the match, U21 Malaysia's goal looked a bit too open when Dabi Saens came free, but Budi Guci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Budi Guci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Romi Haryantos short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Edwin van der Sar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Budi Guci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dabi Saens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, União Sport Clube Paredes's Dabi Saens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Budi Guci made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Budi Guci came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by União Sport Clube Paredes's Jerónimo Furtado. But to his dismay, Jerónimo Furtado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Budi Guci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerónimo Furtado in the 30th minute of play. União Sport Clube Paredes were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after U21 Malaysia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexandre Santana took the corner. A collision led to União Sport Clube Paredes getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Leopoldo Barbosa hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romi Haryanto got free with Edwin van der Sar in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute Jerónimo Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Budi Guci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Altino Palha in the 37th minute of play forced U21 Malaysia's goalkeeper Budi Guci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Dabi Saens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Budi Guci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th match minute, U21 Malaysia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Penn Cornelius to maneuver through the defense. The U21 Malaysia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. União Sport Clube Paredes were winning 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. União Sport Clube Paredes's Lewis Tearle was substituted for Alexandre Taborda. Budi Guci came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by União Sport Clube Paredes's Dabi Saens. But to his dismay, Dabi Saens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. In the 82nd minute Dabi Saens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Budi Guci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heri Hans in the 89th minute of the match. Jerónimo Furtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Budi Guci made a huge save. The supporters of União Sport Clube Paredes booed when U21 Malaysia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. D.J. Malay didn't get a good kick on the ball. D.J. Malay was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd match minute, U21 Malaysia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by D.J. Malay to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, U21 Malaysia's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Barbosa came free, but Budi Guci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The U21 Malaysia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. União Sport Clube Paredes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
