The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oleg Malygin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Flamenco in the 5th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Andrey Babel made a precise shot to the right of Yasir Garay. U21 Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Christian Alvarez fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Honduras's protests and gave Christian Alvarez a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes U21 Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Christian Alvarez. After having played for 21 minutes, Andrey Babel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Kazakhstan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrey Babel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Vladislav Papanin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolás Flamenco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Oleg Malygin made a huge save. U21 Kazakhstan's Oleg Malygin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Alvarez in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, U21 Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Vladislav Papanin came free, but Yasir Garay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolás Flamenco scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oleg Malygin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute Vladislav Papanin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yasir Garay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yasir Garay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladislav Papanin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oleg Malygin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Alvarez in the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Nicolás Flamenco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oleg Malygin. Nicolás Flamenco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1.

Yasir Garay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladislav Papanin, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes into the match, Christian Alvarez notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of U21 Kazakhstan's Oleg Malygin. Oleg Malygin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 61st minute, Christian Alvarez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the U21 Kazakhstan defense, Eraldo Flamenco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oleg Malygin. The U21 Kazakhstan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oleg Malygin should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute, Valeriy Hasiev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to U21 Honduras getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Danilo Umanzor hit a great ball. In the 67th minute of the match, Vladislav Papanin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Yasir Garay was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Oleg Malygin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Flamenco in the 79th minute of play. Christian Alvarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oleg Malygin having to interfere. U21 Honduras made a substitution. Mauricio Ochoa replaced Nicolás Flamenco. Vladislav Papanin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yasir Garay having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Mauricio Ochoa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oleg Malygin was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The U21 Honduras fans cheered their team off the field, for while U21 Kazakhstan had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
