The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Helmuth Rudy got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute Landon Donovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustino Ward saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Chile's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
