The supporters of Barcelona de América booed when NAGANO F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jari Alenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfred Kochowski came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by NAGANO F.C's Jari Alenius. But to his dismay, Jari Alenius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Barcelona de América were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after NAGANO F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Perlaza Lena took the corner. Alfred Kochowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Batistuta in the 92nd minute of the match.
