Ray Ruth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Chuan Cintron made a huge save. When Atlético Municipal's Willie Colon in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barcelona de América's goalie prevented a goal. In the 21st minute Willie Colon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Kochowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Parisi Queduro hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

But to his dismay, Andoni Viguri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Krišjānis Ābeļnieks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
