The supporters of Fly T.T booed when Crimson Knights was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duane Rose didn't get a good kick on the ball. Terence Cowan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léandre Newton in the 53rd minute of play. Fly T.T's Quentin Kendrick proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Fly T.T from getting a goal against them. In the 58th minute, Wei Guang Yun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fly T.T's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vadim Shiryaev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Crimson Knights's Aristide Gustafson was substituted for Dominic Ware. Vadim Shiryaev might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Terence Cowan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Crimson Knights's Terence Cowan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vadim Shiryaev in the 74th minute of play. Wei Guang Yun's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Quentin Kendrick firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duane Rose during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Quentin Kendrick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crimson Knights. Despite being the better team, Crimson Knights failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
