Celso Dias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frank Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Celso Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Isaltino Saraiva came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Licio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaltino Saraiva couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute Frank Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cícero Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Isaltino Saraiva notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Guaravera's João Carlos Furlan. João Carlos Furlan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando Gerber was the one to do the kick off. João Carlos Furlan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Orlando Gerber showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 51 minute of play. When Isaltino Saraiva came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Licio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaltino Saraiva couldn't finish the play. After 59 played minutes Licio FC got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Gerber. Bernardinho Meireles hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Genílson Tepedino scored 2-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celso Dias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Celso Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genílson Tepedino in the 72nd minute of the match. Orlando Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Guaravera getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Erasmo Sá hit a great ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
