In the 11th minute, Paulo Renato Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isaltino Saraiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Edinho Aparecido made a huge save. Orlando Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Aparecido having to interfere. Licio FC's Celso Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Renato Dantas in the 23rd minute of play. If Paulo Renato Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th match minute, Licio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Bueno to maneuver through the defense. When João Francisco Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1 Poko de Nois's protests and gave João Francisco Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, 1 Poko de Nois was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Isaltino Saraiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Edinho Aparecido made a huge save. In the 39th minute of the match, Orlando Gerber tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edinho Aparecido saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in 1 Poko de Nois's zone, Orlando Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edinho Aparecido came out of the goal and Orlando Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 44 minutes on the clock, Cléberson Xavier commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Francisco Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edinho Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Paulo Cavalcante in the 53rd minute of the match. Isaltino Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Paulo Cavalcante charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Paulo Cavalcante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd minute, Luiz Paulo Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavinho do Valle, 63 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, 1 Poko de Nois's Serginho Nóbrega got a free kick in the 69th minute. Isaltino Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 77 minutes of play, Licio FC's Isaltino Saraiva made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edinho Aparecido was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 80 played minutes 1 Poko de Nois got a freekick which was hit by Emerson de Senna. After some careless play in the 1 Poko de Nois defense, Isaltino Saraiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edinho Aparecido. The 1 Poko de Nois fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edinho Aparecido should have stopped the shot. Paulo Renato Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Dias having to interfere. Paulo Renato Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Francisco Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1 Poko de Nois's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
