The Languiru SC fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Languiru SC's Valdo Fernandes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. David Ribeiro made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Valdo Fernandes sent off a good shot on target. After 38 played minutes E.C 2 Janeiro RS got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Messias. Ivo Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Ribeiro having to interfere. David Ribeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Paulo de Almeida in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Jacinto Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdo Fernandes made a kick off. If Valdo Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute Luís Paulo de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovanni Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Donato, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Giovanni Monteiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fellipe Rezende in the 69th minute. David Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Fernandes in the 73rd minute of play. After 75 minutes, Valdo Fernandes made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Languiru SC's Giovanni Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Neto in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to E.C 2 Janeiro RS getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Alfredinho Messias hit a great ball. After 89 minutes of play, Languiru SC's Valdo Fernandes made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Ribeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Languiru SC's Valdo Fernandes in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalie prevented a goal. After 94 played minutes E.C 2 Janeiro RS got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Neto. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdo Fernandes in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Ribeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
