An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Lima in the 4th minute of play forced E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper David Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Olímpico Manaus F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Olímpico Manaus F.C.'s Albertinho Furtado looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 11th minute, Albertinho Furtado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olímpico Manaus F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Albertinho Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Egídio Donato took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Eduardo Penha to make any attempt to save it. Eduardo Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egídio Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Ribeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedrinho Lima went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 40th match minute, E.C 2 Janeiro RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Neto to maneuver through the defense. Albertinho Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Olímpico Manaus F.C. were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedrinho Lima to make the kick off. Albertinho Furtados short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got David Ribeiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 58thth minute of the game Pedrinho Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but E.C 2 Janeiro RS's David Ribeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 60 minutes, Pedrinho Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olímpico Manaus F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedrinho Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eduardo Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fellipe Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Olímpico Manaus F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Rezende came free, but Eduardo Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Pedrinho Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olímpico Manaus F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fellipe Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. Pedrinho Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Ribeiro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Olímpico Manaus F.C.'s Benê Pinho got a free kick in the 84th minute. Pedrinho Lima took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Ribeiro. David Ribeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. David Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Olímpico Manaus F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
