In the 2nd minute Christian Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Dionísio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the game, Valdemar Lucas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Adilson Lara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adilson Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamílton Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Valdemar Lucas struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Adilson Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HeBr United. After 10 played minutes Cachoeiro - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Giovani Massa. In the 12th minute, Emanuel Travassos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valdemar Lucas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Adilson Lara made a huge save. Christian Machado scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilberto Dionísio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of HeBr United booed when Cachoeiro - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tião Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Dionísio having to interfere. Christian Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Dionísio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. Tião Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Gilberto Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Emanuel Travassos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HeBr United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachoeiro - FSCMZ the free kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valdemar Lucas was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in HeBr United's zone, Tião Paes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Dionísio came out of the goal and Tião Paes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind HeBr United's goalkeeper Gilberto Dionísio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hamílton Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adilson Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 66th match minute, Cachoeiro - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Machado to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's Christian Machado got a free kick in the 68th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Hamílton Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot. HeBr United's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamílton Corrêa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adilson Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adilson Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar Lucas in the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Cachoeiro - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. João Pedro do Vale hit a great ball. In the 77thth minute of the game Valdemar Lucas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's Adilson Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Lucas in the 79th minute of play forced Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Adilson Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Adilson Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton Corrêa in the 87th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Cachoeiro - FSCMZ defense, Hamílton Corrêa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adilson Lara. The Cachoeiro - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adilson Lara should have stopped the shot. HeBr United were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
