In the 12th minute Cícero Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Christian Machado was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's Tião Paes got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cícero Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tião Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Ribeiro having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, E.C 2 Janeiro RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper David Ribeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Geovanni Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's Christian Machado in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Egídio Donato stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Neiva's late challenge caught a Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacinto Neiva helped the player get up and apologised. Jacinto Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. With a little luck, Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's Adilson Lara got control of the ball when Fellipe Rezende tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute Egídio Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adilson Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in E.C 2 Janeiro RS's zone, Christian Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Ribeiro came out of the goal and Christian Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute, Christian Machado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Ribeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 72 minutes into the game, Benjamin Mazza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E.C 2 Janeiro RS the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in E.C 2 Janeiro RS's zone, Christian Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Ribeiro came out of the goal and Christian Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Tião Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Tião Paes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd match minute, E.C 2 Janeiro RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredinho Messias to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Giovani Massa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and E.C 2 Janeiro RS's David Ribeiro didn't even have to move. When Cícero Martins came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Cachoeiro - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cícero Martins couldn't finish the play. Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 90 played minutes Cachoeiro - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Borges. A collision led to Cachoeiro - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Benjamin Mazza hit a great ball. When Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's Christian Machado in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalie prevented a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cachoeiro - FSCMZ had played much better football throughout.
