In the 16th minute, Arnulfo Ellande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute Amador Laffitte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Mikelats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes in the game, Eusebio Bartolome fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Astor Bermund having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Eusebio Bartolome cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Astor Bermund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Humberto Ubendu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moise Minculescu's late challenge caught a Suriyaco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moise Minculescu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Chicago Bulls getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Moise Minculescu hit a great ball. Juan Mikelats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Ubendu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chicago Bulls's Eusebio Bartolome got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eusebio Bartolome fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Bermund having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Humberto Ubendu made a precise shot to the right of Juan Mikelats. Chicago Bulls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Ubendu to strike the kick off in the second half. Benito Teofilio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Juan Mikelats made a huge save. The supporters of Suriyaco booed when Chicago Bulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moise Minculescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusebio Bartolome struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Astor Bermund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chicago Bulls. 64 minutes into the match, Chicago Bulls's Eusebio Bartolome sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Astor Bermund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 66 minutes, Moise Minculescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chicago Bulls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moise Minculescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Bartolome in the 73rd minute of play forced Suriyaco's goalkeeper Astor Bermund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Ladislao Paublo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Astor Bermund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Bartolome in the 81st minute of the match. Chicago Bulls's Moise Minculescu got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eusebio Bartolome might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Astor Bermund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusebio Bartolome ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Chicago Bulls getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Jorge Ur hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Eusebio Bartolome ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Astor Bermund was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Chicago Bulls fully deserved thier win.
