The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Carmelo Moise managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Margarita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmelo Moise was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Teofilios short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Rodolfo Salbatore to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Benito Teofilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carmelo Moise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Astor Bermund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Teofilio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Suriyaco's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 24 minutes into the match, Suriyaco's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Urritz came free, but Astor Bermund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Ubendu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ladislao Paublo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Margarita's Bruno Txordon in action when he in the 30th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Carmelo Moise managed to get in a good position for a shot. Margarita's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Moise was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Astor Bermund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carmelo Moise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Margarita's Carmelo Moise got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carmelo Moise made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Nicolas Urritz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Margarita's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Urritz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Astor Bermund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Suriyaco's Astor Bermund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Moise in the 54th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Margarita's Carmelo Moise sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Astor Bermund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benito Teofilio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Rodolfo Salbatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Salbatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Ubendu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raimundo Serafo's late challenge caught a Suriyaco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raimundo Serafo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Margarita's Raimundo Serafo got a free kick in the 66th minute. Nicolas Urritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 played minutes, Margarita's Bruno Txordon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Astor Bermund came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Margarita reached it. Benito Teofilio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Rodolfo Salbatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astor Bermund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Moise in the 90th minute of play. Carmelo Moise struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Astor Bermund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Margarita. 97 minutes into the match, Margarita's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Teofilio came free, but Rodolfo Salbatore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
