Impenetrable Chaco
Spectators: 7248 (Terracing: 5437, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) After a rather tough play, Changos del Impenetrable's Esteve Lazcano got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Bernabe Froila came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Despeñaderos's Arnaldo Ramirez. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Ramirez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Arnaldo Ramirez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Despeñaderos's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaldo Ramirez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernabe Froila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaston Urdaspal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Froila having to interfere. Gregorio Calisto made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Epifanio Checa sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute, Jaime Dominguez had to leave the field with a concussion. Denis Bidun's late challenge caught a Changos del Impenetrable's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denis Bidun helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Despeñaderos getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Denis Bidun hit a great ball. Gregorio Calisto was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Baldomero Dayam. Arnaldo Ramirez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the game, Epifanio Checa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Changos del Impenetrable's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Despeñaderos the free kick. In the 30th minute, Epifanio Checa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaston Urdaspal in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernabe Froila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Changos del Impenetrable's Bernabe Froila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Ramirez in the 37th minute of play. Bernabe Froila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Txomin in the 41st minute of play. Gaston Urdaspal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Froila having to interfere. Arnaldo Ramirez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Bernabe Froila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Despeñaderos were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Epifanio Checa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Gaston Urdaspal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Froila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregorio Calisto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Checa in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Aldo Guzman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 67th minute of the match Denis Bidun completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Denis Bidun a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Changos del Impenetrable booed when Despeñaderos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Bidun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Changos del Impenetrable's Gonzalo Cibran got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victoriano Jerano's late challenge caught a Changos del Impenetrable's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victoriano Jerano helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes Despeñaderos got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Jerano. In the 72nd minute of the match Braulio Furman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Calisto skillfully saved the ball. In the 75th minute of the match, Gaston Urdaspal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bernabe Froila saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 83rd minute, Aldo Guzman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th match minute, Changos del Impenetrable was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Peyo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Changos del Impenetrable's zone, Gaston Urdaspal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernabe Froila came out of the goal and Gaston Urdaspal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
