Impenetrable Chaco
Spectators: 7254 (Terracing: 5442, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when David Gentza took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Epifanio Checa got free with Edgardo Camerino in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 9 in the game by Epifanio Checa from a close distance when the talented Edgardo Camerino managed to make a qualified save. Meandes's players were relieved. In the 10th minute, one of Meandes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Meandes. In the 12th minute, Sílvio Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baldomero Dayam was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Meandes's David Gentza in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Changos del Impenetrable's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Meandes's zone, Aldo Guzman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Camerino came out of the goal and Aldo Guzman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 32 played minutes Meandes got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Teodor. Epifanio Checa struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Edgardo Camerino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Changos del Impenetrable. In the 37th minute, Epifanio Checa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Meandes's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Guzman came free, but Edgardo Camerino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgardo Camerino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Epifanio Checa in the 43rd minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Aldo Guzman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Changos del Impenetrable's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Guzman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 45 played minutes Meandes got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Teodor. When Aldo Guzman came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Changos del Impenetrable fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Guzman couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Aldo Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Gentza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Camilo Teodor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Cibran's late challenge caught a Meandes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzalo Cibran helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes Changos del Impenetrable got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Cibran. 71 minutes into the game, Jaime Dominguez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Edgardo Camerino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 78 minutes of play, Changos del Impenetrable's Jaime Dominguez made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgardo Camerino was left in no man's land by his defense there! 85 minutes into the match, Changos del Impenetrable's goal looked a bit too open when David Gentza came free, but Bernabe Froila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Epifanio Checa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Checa in the 90th minute of play forced Meandes's goalkeeper Edgardo Camerino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Changos del Impenetrable's Bernabe Froila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Gentza in the 92nd minute of play. Epifanio Checa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Gentza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Froila having to interfere. Many of Meandes's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Meandes may have spent more time on the ball, but Changos del Impenetrable were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
