The corner led Cerrito's Romulo Cordeal to fire away a dangerous shot which Dan Bäckström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Modesto Orlin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Dan Bäckström made a huge save. Severo Nel's late challenge caught a LakeShow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 33 played minutes LakeShow got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Elia. Dan Bäckström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ladislao Gar hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Ladislao Gar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clodoveo Muc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Modesto Orlin made a precise shot to the right of Dan Bäckström. LakeShow's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Nicasio Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clodoveo Muc in the 59th minute of play. Ladislao Gar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Nicasio Liher skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 66 played minutes LakeShow got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Errapel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Orlin in the 71st minute of play forced LakeShow's goalkeeper Dan Bäckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Modesto Orlin notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of LakeShow's Dan Bäckström. Dan Bäckström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, LakeShow's Clodoveo Muc got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute Modesto Orlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Bäckström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clodoveo Muc kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Cerrito players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
