Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Harald Rønningen made the kick off which started today's match. Lars-Erik Fiksdal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anton Wetteland went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 6 minutes into the match, Sommarsæte's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Hilstad came free, but Lars-Erik Fiksdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harald Rønningen kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Vidar Indergård recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Lars-Olav Hamnes came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Sommarsæte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars-Olav Hamnes couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute Anton Wetteland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars-Erik Fiksdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anton Wetteland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Lars-Erik Fiksdal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Anton Wetteland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Lars-Erik Fiksdal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Richard Hilstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Kovlands IF's goal looked a bit too open when Lars-Olav Hamnes came free, but Dag Anderssen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Sommarsæte's Lars-Olav Hamnes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dag Anderssen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Lars-Olav Hamnes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dag Anderssen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 42 minutes into the match, Kovlands IF's goal looked a bit too open when Lars-Olav Hamnes came free, but Dag Anderssen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars-Erik Fiksdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Rønningen, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Vidar Indergård managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sommarsæte's supporters rose to their feet, but Vidar Indergård was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dag Anderssen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Lars-Olav Hamnes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kovlands IF's Dag Anderssen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Kovlands IF getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Richard Hilstad hit a great ball. After 53 played minutes, Sommarsæte's Henrik Espenes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dag Anderssen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sommarsæte reached it. In the 54th match minute, Kovlands IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Hilstad to maneuver through the defense. After 57 minutes, Lars-Olav Hamnes made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Kovlands IF's Dag Anderssen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lars-Erik Fiksdal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anton Wetteland in the 60th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kovlands IF's zone, Lars-Olav Hamnes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dag Anderssen came out of the goal and Lars-Olav Hamnes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lars-Olav Hamnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lars-Erik Fiksdal acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nils-Arne Molvik. 71 minutes into the game, Richard Hilstad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kovlands IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sommarsæte the free kick. The supporters of Sommarsæte booed when Kovlands IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Hilstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anton Wetteland came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lars-Erik Fiksdal could save by the left post. Kovlands IF's Nils-Arne Molvik shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 78th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lars-Erik Fiksdal but with some difficulty. Nils-Arne Molvik hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Emanuel Bartnes in the 84th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Dag Anderssen's left hand side. In the 85th match minute, Kovlands IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Hilstad to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 86 minutes, Lars-Olav Hamnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sommarsæte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars-Olav Hamnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Sommarsæte supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kovlands IF's performance. The match ended with a win for Kovlands IF.
