After a rather tough play, Aalbeked's Ricky Uytdebroeck got a free kick in the 20th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Washington Gorena in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Van Huruck saved Aalbeked from getting behind. After 26 played minutes Aalbeked got a freekick which was hit by Ernst Van Eycke. Aalbeked's Vicente Van Huruck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Gorena in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Aalbeked's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Gorena came free, but Vicente Van Huruck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Van Huruck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Washington Gorena in the 33rd minute of the match. After 37 minutes, Washington Gorena made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Aalbeked's Vicente Van Huruck tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aalbeked's Lennert Daneels got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 61 minutes, Arnout De Wilde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LFC and the Aalbeked players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Aalbeked booed when LFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles-Louis Loozen didn't get a good kick on the ball.
