Spectators: 6851 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1851, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Glen Saelens started the match with the kick off. Ritchie Van Craen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Remco Feys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 4th match minute, Zegelsem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harrie Laremans to maneuver through the defense. Jorre Van Den Eynden blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Remco Feys having to make a save. 14 minutes into the match, Jorre Van Den Eynden notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Zegelsem's Remco Feys. Remco Feys was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 17 minutes of play, VM HOPVELDEN's Jorre Van Den Eynden made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remco Feys was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorre Van Den Eynden in the 20th minute of play forced Zegelsem's goalkeeper Remco Feys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, VM HOPVELDEN's goalkeeper Domingos Gonzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harrie Laremans. Jorre Van Den Eynden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Zegelsem booed when VM HOPVELDEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franky Goolen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erwin-Alexander Van Hespe got free with Domingos Gonzo in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Remco Feys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorre Van Den Eynden, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. VM HOPVELDEN's Franky Goolen got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Jorre Van Den Eynden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Domingos Gonzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remie Van Den Brande in the 47th minute of play. In the 48th match minute, VM HOPVELDEN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Pivniceru to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

53 minutes in the game Guilian Hemberg did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Harrie Laremans. After some careless play in the Zegelsem defense, Jorre Van Den Eynden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remco Feys. The Zegelsem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remco Feys should have stopped the shot. Jorre Van Den Eynden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Remco Feys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, VM HOPVELDEN's Jorre Van Den Eynden ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Remco Feys. Remco Feys yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Remco Feys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hendrik Dierickx in the 75th minute of play. Jorre Van Den Eynden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Remco Feys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Zegelsem's goalkeeper Remco Feys had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ritchie Van Craen. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorre Van Den Eynden got free with Remco Feys in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorre Van Den Eynden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Remco Feys made a huge save. If Jan Baecke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Jorre Van Den Eynden managed to get in a good position for a shot. VM HOPVELDEN's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorre Van Den Eynden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remco Feys breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zegelsem's Remco Feys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hendrik Dierickx in the 84th minute of play. VM HOPVELDEN's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jan Baecke in the 86th minute. After taking down the ball on VM HOPVELDEN's corner Jan Baecke fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Remco Feys quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, VM HOPVELDEN's Danny Tombuer got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 95th minute when Ritchie Van Craen was dribbling his way through Zegelsem's defense he got a clear chance for a shot, but the shot went just outside the left post. In the 97th minute, Jorre Van Den Eynden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. VM HOPVELDEN played a much better game than Zegelsem and deserved their victory. The Zegelsem players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
