Washington Gorena really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Washington Gorena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Toon De Middeleer made a huge save. In the 18th minute Washington Gorena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toon De Middeleer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in LFC's zone, Benny Theijs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olliver De Maerschalckx came out of the goal and Benny Theijs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeremy Walder during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Flat Beat booed when LFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremy Walder didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led FC Flat Beat's Matijs Cremers to fire away a dangerous shot which Olliver De Maerschalckx despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. FC Flat Beat's Toon De Middeleer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremy Walder in the 54th minute of play. Toon De Middeleer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Gorena in the 55th minute of play. Washington Gorena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Olliver De Maerschalckx went to the wrong direction when Matijs Cremers was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.
