After 5 played minutes Vampiros Aztecas got a freekick which was hit by David Oton. In the 12th minute, Clemente Gabon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Balendin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Esdras having to interfere. Roberto Balendin kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. A hard shot by Leon Gaizko from long distance, 15 minutes into the match, got Rodolfo Cibran's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 19 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Feliciano Dimo came free, but Nereo Esdras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Gines charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Gines the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Oton in the 33rd minute of play forced ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper Nereo Esdras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ORIZABA F.C.'s zone, Sergio Abilio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Esdras came out of the goal and Sergio Abilio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of ORIZABA F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vampiros Aztecas:s goal. Karl Schneider placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Ubaldo Abeitia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Oton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Feliciano Dimo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Esdras having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Abeitia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nereo Esdras. ORIZABA F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ubaldo Abeitia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 65th minute, Dante Txema got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nereo Esdras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Balendin in the 69th minute of the match. ORIZABA F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rogelio Raulo in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Vampiros Aztecas's Cristian Aurre got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute, Fidel Jorrin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Aurre's shot from long distance in the 83rd minute was not bad at all, but ORIZABA F.C.'s Nereo Esdras knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 86th minute Roberto Balendin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Esdras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, David Oton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nereo Esdras. David Oton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2.
