Uriel Larpe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theodór Pérez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clemente Gabon hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th match minute, Club Universidad Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theodór Pérez to maneuver through the defense. Uriel Larpe came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Universidad Nacional's Leonides Ofelio. But to his dismay, Leonides Ofelio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Club Universidad Nacional getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Osvaldo Elizardo hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Ofelio came free, but Uriel Larpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of ORIZABA F.C. booed when Club Universidad Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Txordon didn't get a good kick on the ball. ORIZABA F.C.'s Hugo Gines couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Universidad Nacional. Leonides Ofelio took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uriel Larpe. Uriel Larpe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 32nd minute, Leonides Ofelio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uriel Larpe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 37th minute, Carmelo Feliz made a precise shot to the right of Uriel Larpe. ORIZABA F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Uriel Larpe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Feliz, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Uriel Larpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theodór Pérez in the 46th minute of the match. The ORIZABA F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Universidad Nacional were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carmelo Feliz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Club Universidad Nacional's Uriel Larpe threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Epifanio Velasco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Carmelo Feliz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Uriel Larpe skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. ORIZABA F.C.'s Uriel Larpe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save ORIZABA F.C. from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Leonides Ofelio took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Uriel Larpe to make any attempt to save it. Leon Gaizko hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Carmelo Feliz, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 74 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper Uriel Larpe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonides Ofelio. After 75 minutes of play, Club Universidad Nacional's Leonides Ofelio made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Uriel Larpe was left in no man's land by his defense there! 79 minutes into the game, Leonides Ofelio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Uriel Larpe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Club Universidad Nacional booed when ORIZABA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Gines didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Club Universidad Nacional's Leonides Ofelio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Uriel Larpe. Uriel Larpe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. Club Universidad Nacional played a much better game than ORIZABA F.C. and deserved their victory. The ORIZABA F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
