Sami Kazım didn't get a good kick on the ball. Drew Casey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Galip Cansefa, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Dale Kirkpatrick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dale Kirkpatrick in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Everardo Blanco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Everardo Blanco made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Dale Kirkpatrick sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Everardo Blanco managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when University of Rochester's Dale Kirkpatrick fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dale Kirkpatrick in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Everardo Blanco saved FC Hacettepe from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, FC Hacettepe's goalkeeper Everardo Blanco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dale Kirkpatrick. Everardo Blanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxwell Calcagnini, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Everardo Blanco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dale Kirkpatrick showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Dale Kirkpatrick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Everardo Blanco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, FC Hacettepe's goalkeeper Everardo Blanco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dale Kirkpatrick. In the 38th minute University of Rochester were awarded a corner. Wawrzyniec Damaski went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 44th minute, Mustafa Emrah Pamiroğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 minutes of play, University of Rochester's Dale Kirkpatrick made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Everardo Blanco was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Korkut Ruçhan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Hacettepe! Everardo Blanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Kirkpatrick in the 60th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Hacettepe defense, Dale Kirkpatrick kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Everardo Blanco. The FC Hacettepe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Everardo Blanco should have stopped the shot. After 65 minutes of play, University of Rochester's Dale Kirkpatrick made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Everardo Blanco was left in no man's land by his defense there! But to his dismay, Dale Kirkpatrick quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. 88 minutes into the match, Dale Kirkpatrick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Everardo Blanco. FC Hacettepe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dale Kirkpatrick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. After 91 played minutes FC Hacettepe got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Emrah Pamiroğlu. University of Rochester were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Hacettepe for a fine match.
