Mark Webster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cedrik Neesens in the 3rd minute of play. 3 minutes into the match, Billie Jean King Spirit's goal looked a bit too open when Cedrik Neesens came free, but Mark Webster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Laurent Gyselinckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johnny Van Hoeyvelt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Mark Webster made a huge save. The supporters of Young Ostend United booed when Billie Jean King Spirit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrew James didn't get a good kick on the ball. Young Ostend United's Marcus Roggen shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mark Webster but with some difficulty. Mark Webster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cedrik Neesens in the 18th minute of play. Mark Webster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cedrik Neesens in the 18th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Young Ostend United's Johnny Van Hoeyvelt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mark Webster narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Young Ostend United's corner Marcus Roggen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mark Webster quite easily take care of the ball. Billie Jean King Spirit's Mark Webster proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Billie Jean King Spirit from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Billie Jean King Spirit's Kevin Harrison got a free kick in the 32nd minute. A hard shot by Marcus Roggen from long distance, 32 minutes into the match, got Mark Webster's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 34th minute, Laurent Gyselinckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laurent Gyselinckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Mark Webster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kevin Harrison hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes, Young Ostend United's Marcus Roggen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mark Webster came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Young Ostend United reached it. Laurent Gyselinckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Mark Webster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shaine Gordon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Billie Jean King Spirit's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Van Hoeyvelt came free, but Mark Webster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Loid Gijsbrechts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shaine Gordon, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Robert Billington was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Billie Jean King Spirit's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Young Ostend United the free kick. In the 57th minute, Robert Billington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Shaine Gordon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Billie Jean King Spirit's supporters rose to their feet, but Shaine Gordon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loid Gijsbrechts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Derreck Horrocks hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the game, Young Ostend United's Cedrik Neesens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mark Webster made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 74 minutes into the match, Billie Jean King Spirit's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Van Hoeyvelt came free, but Mark Webster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th match minute, Billie Jean King Spirit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy McDonald to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Raymond Rutgeerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Robert Billington was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. In the 95th minute, Johnny Van Hoeyvelt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Young Ostend United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. There was no doubt that Young Ostend United were the better team. Young Ostend United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
