In the 16th minute, Mário Amaral made a precise shot to the right of Eliézer Velasco. Old Glory's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Mário Amaral put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Eliézer Velasco. After the first half LRCA Office Club were leading 0-9. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Mário Amaral made the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Eliézer Velasco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Eliézer Velasco was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Mário Amaral capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mário Amaral really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. 59 minutes into the match, Old Glory's goalkeeper Eliézer Velasco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mário Amaral. Old Glory's Eliézer Velasco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Old Glory from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mário Amaral in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliézer Velasco saved Old Glory from getting behind. After some careless play in the Old Glory defense, Mário Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eliézer Velasco. The Old Glory fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eliézer Velasco should have stopped the shot. Jano Santos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. After some careless play in the Old Glory defense, Mário Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eliézer Velasco. The Old Glory fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eliézer Velasco should have stopped the shot. Eliézer Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jano Santos in the 92nd minute of the match. After 94 played minutes Old Glory got a freekick which was hit by Vicente da Silva. After 95th play minutes Mário Amaral shot 0-17, a short shot which went by Eliézer Velasco and just under the crossbar into goal. LRCA Office Club played a much better game than Old Glory and deserved their victory. The Old Glory players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
