Spectators: 7316 (Terracing: 5584, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Saverio Gipuzkoa started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfonso Telesforo during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hipolito Belasko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Aquiles Bertin made a huge save. Aquiles Bertin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingo Oliverio's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Saverio Gipuzkoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Bertin having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Saverio Gipuzkoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aquiles Bertin was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 20thth minute of the game Romulo Eguerdi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Douglas Haig's Peder Wållander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Douglas Haig's Hipolito Belasko got a free kick in the 21st minute. Romulo Eguerdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Peder Wållander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergio Michael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sergio Michael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Douglas Haig booed when Emporioneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Argi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saverio Gipuzkoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Bertin having to interfere. Saverio Gipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Robustiano Dacio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aquiles Bertin came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Douglas Haig's Domingo Oliverio. But to his dismay, Domingo Oliverio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romulo Eguerdi was the one to do the kick off. If Romulo Eguerdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saverio Gipuzkoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Aquiles Bertin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfredo Argi hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Aquiles Bertin came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Douglas Haig's Saverio Gipuzkoa. But to his dismay, Saverio Gipuzkoa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Douglas Haig's Peder Wållander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Eguerdi in the 77th minute of play. After 78 minutes, Americo Beti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Douglas Haig and the Emporioneta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Douglas Haig's Americo Beti got a free kick in the 78th minute. After 81 played minutes Douglas Haig got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Telesforo. Romulo Eguerdi struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Peder Wållander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emporioneta. After 90 played minutes Emporioneta got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Fernandez. Douglas Haig's Saverio Gipuzkoa got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
