Manuel Gonzo's late challenge caught a Deportivo Union Central's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Gonzo helped the player get up and apologised. Manuel Gonzo hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Manuel Gonzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Lobo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Emilio Quiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Palben in the 21st minute of play forced Emporioneta's goalkeeper Aquiles Bertin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Emporioneta's zone, Emilio Quiroga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquiles Bertin came out of the goal and Emilio Quiroga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute of the game Romulo Eguerdi made a throw-in which Jonatan Theodore played forward. Benjamin Lobo was a little too slow when Sergio Michael got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 3-0. After 33 minutes, Emilio Quiroga made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Emporioneta's Aquiles Bertin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute of the match, Manuel Gonzo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benjamin Lobo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Evaristo Gervaso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aquiles Bertin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Quiroga, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Emporioneta's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Abilio came free, but Aquiles Bertin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Emporioneta's Evaristo Gervaso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benjamin Lobo. Benjamin Lobo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilio Quiroga to make the kick off. Emporioneta's Manuel Gonzo got his second yellow card of the match in the 52nd minute. The referee ordered Manuel Gonzo off the ground. In the 53rd minute, Manuel Gonzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Quiroga got free with Aquiles Bertin in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evaristo Gervaso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, Deportivo Union Central's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Theodore came free, but Benjamin Lobo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Gervaso in the 60th minute of play forced Deportivo Union Central's goalkeeper Benjamin Lobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Gervaso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Lobo having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Emporioneta got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Theodore. Benjamin Lobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Michael in the 66th minute of the match. Benjamin Lobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Gervaso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Palben received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Aquiles Bertin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Emporioneta's goalkeeper Aquiles Bertin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Evaristo Gervaso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Lobo having to interfere. Evaristo Gervaso struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Benjamin Lobo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emporioneta. 81 minutes into the match, Jonatan Theodore had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Lobo. Deportivo Union Central's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonatan Theodore was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Sergio Michael took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benjamin Lobo. Benjamin Lobo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Emporioneta's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
