Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfonso Telesforo's late challenge caught a Fútbol Club 49's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonso Telesforo helped the player get up and apologised. Alfonso Telesforo kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes, Fútbol Club 49's Jose Normando shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Peder Wållander came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fútbol Club 49 reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eustaquio Chabier during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Fútbol Club 49 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Chabier to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Fútbol Club 49's Aureliano Selmo got a free kick in the 26th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rolando Peruxu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Rolando Peruxu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fútbol Club 49 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Douglas Haig's Hipolito Belasko got his second yellow card of the match in the 56th minute. The referee ordered Hipolito Belasko off the ground. Fútbol Club 49's Jose Normando shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Peder Wållander but with some difficulty. Peder Wållander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Peruxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Domingo Oliverio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Raulo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Douglas Haig's Peder Wållander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Douglas Haig from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saverio Gipuzkoa in the 69th minute of play forced Fútbol Club 49's goalkeeper Abelardo Raulo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Douglas Haig's Peder Wållander got control of the ball when Rolando Peruxu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Peruxu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Peder Wållander when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rolando Peruxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Peder Wållander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd match minute, Douglas Haig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Gipuzkoa to maneuver through the defense. Peder Wållander came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Fútbol Club 49's Rolando Peruxu. But to his dismay, Rolando Peruxu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 95 played minutes Fútbol Club 49 got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Froila. Fútbol Club 49's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
