The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimund Lamp got free with Fritz Dorneth in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Delfim de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Protzel in the 9th minute of play. With a little luck, Gohfeld's Fritz Dorneth got control of the ball when Raimund Lamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lehenwies's zone, Benjamin Protzel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delfim de Sousa came out of the goal and Benjamin Protzel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute, Helmar Schirrmacher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Protzel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Toppel in the 26th minute of play forced Lehenwies's goalkeeper Delfim de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Emanuel Sobieray fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lehenwies's protests and gave Emanuel Sobieray a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lehenwies getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Emanuel Sobieray hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karim Adeyemi in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delfim de Sousa saved Lehenwies from getting behind. Helmar Schirrmacher hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When Ernst Siemienski fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lehenwies's protests and gave Ernst Siemienski a yellow card for diving instead. Ernst Siemienski kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Karim Adeyemi put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Delfim de Sousa. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Benjamin Protzel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gohfeld's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Protzel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delfim de Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Lehenwies defense, Karim Adeyemi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delfim de Sousa. The Lehenwies fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delfim de Sousa should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute Karim Adeyemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hannes Matzkies kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Faruk Winheim during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th minute, Faruk Winheim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Fritz Dorneth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimund Lamp in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gohfeld's goalkeeper Fritz Dorneth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, Karim Adeyemi lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Delfim de Sousa. When Karim Adeyemi came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Gohfeld fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karim Adeyemi couldn't finish the play. Karl Veddermann hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Faruk Winheim kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Karim Adeyemi came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Gohfeld fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karim Adeyemi couldn't finish the play. Delfim de Sousa made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Mark Toppel sent off a good shot on target. Gohfeld's Karl Brunner got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl Veddermann hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Karim Adeyemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim de Sousa having to interfere. A collision led to Gohfeld getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Willibald Apperger hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the game, Hannes Matzkies was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lehenwies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gohfeld the free kick. Gohfeld's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
