I think it can definitely happen, but only in a season or two. On the contrary, I put no expectations on our team since it was a completely different situation in Group 4 . All six teams are an active teams and quite balanced all around. Poland and Bulgaria have more active managers (and more better players), that's why they're clear favorites in our group. Under such circumstances small countries have absolutely no chances to qualify. It was everything I kind of thought it would be; hopefully our youngsters will be better next year and we'll try again.

@downeseymc, Ranking Cup?
@floodish, I have high expectations on the Scottish academy U18 players so predict a stronger U21 team in 2-3 seasons time. Let us call it the golden generation ;)
@semych, was hoping that Scotland could step up and upset Israel, France and Austria. Playing Poland and Bulgaria, one would target to use a defensive or counter attack approach and target for a draw.

@iblocha
Like you said, 'the Golden Generation' can definitely do the job in few seasons time. I agree that sometimes right tactics can help you to achieve a decent result and SIM could be very fortunate to you as well. But in case of Group 4, where all six teams were quite balanced, you'd have to win about four games to advance.
Scarcely likely it's possible without 'the GG'.

@iblocha >>>>> Can you view the Admin Forum>National Coach .. If so view the Petition for Ranking Cup. I could really use you backing from a Assitant to get behind me on this as it benefits smaller nations to compete for a Cup. If you want me to send you the idea let me know and I can explain it to you,

I like the name "Golden Generation" but you must take into account we still are only 4 active users in Scotland. Our % to create and develop good youths is very low with other countrys that have hundred of active users. But I think we must aim to the "Golden Generation" working together is our best asset.

@floodish, by considering that both our teams are heading to the semifinal in U18 National Cup indicates that we are on the right track with our "golden generation". Note that I have not even considered downeseymc's U18 players so by beating top English U18 teams shows that we may have a strong U21 team in the future. Let's keep our fingers crossed that they will continue to develop their key skills.

@iblocha, nice point :), but I think we will need more than our fingers cross to make a good team, we need more active users thats the real true.
