Give me one good reason why i should keep playing this game

The randomness does make it seem unfair at times but at the same time it relates to the fact any team can be beaten...it's better than many games where you master the game then never lose...what fun is that. Why making tactics then? I remember years ago every milimeter counted when you nade the tactics. Now all that matters in the random. Why should that guy put the trophy on his page ? It sucks to lose matches against play, and especially when it is a final. I lost a final some time ago with 1-0. I won shots on target with 15-1. But then there was Champions League final where I got outplayed, yet won 6-2. Results against play has always happened, and will always happen. You got to take the good with the bad, because I am sure that there have been games where you have won against play. His goalie had a good game, yours didn't. At senior level "everybody" has a 10 ball goalie. At youth level, some have a 4 baller, others have a 9 baller. Looking at your opponents goalie and his value, it might be a 9 ball goalie. You're right a have a 7 ball GK. But following your logic, since i had 2.5 times more scoring chances, he should have a 7 x 2.5 = [b]15 baller GK just to make a draw[/b]. This is a game where my actions and my opponent actions lead to 10-4 scoring chances in my favour, and the random gave the win and the trophy to my opponent. The fun of training players and making tactics (the only things you control in this game) is ruined by the 90% random factor.You're right a have a 7 ball GK. But following your logic, since i had 2.5 times more scoring chances, he should have a 7 x 2.5 = 15 baller GK just to make a draw.
This is a game where my actions and my opponent actions lead to 10-4 scoring chances in my favour, and the random gave the win and the trophy to my opponent.
The fun of training players and making tactics (the only things you control in this game) is ruined by the 90% random factor.

MZ has a lot of randomness in it but U18 level is always even more subject to fluke scores like yours, Ghimpi! Take it in the chin, like a man, and live to fight another battle! Examples above happend very rarely. No one would complain if random happends, let's say, once every 10 matches. But in MZ random is more normal than the normal. In leagues, you can overcome when random happends. But in one-game final stages of cups, the random makes impossible to win a cup. You must be the luckies man to win a cup. Just like winning the lottery. If i wanted lottery, i would have joined an online casino. But i just wanna play MZ, not casino games.Examples above happend very rarely. As somebody else pointed out, you wouldn't have been in that final at all, if all matches had gone according to stats and play. You won the QF against play. And the opponent you beat in that match, also has a better goalie than you. You should actually consider yourself lucky, because you got a lot of extra income by winning the QF. It is a problem we all suffer from. We only notice the games we lose against play. The matches we win against play is just how it should be, right? random is good it just needs to be "fine tuned" for example the inconsistency of goalies is a pain (whether you win or lose because of it)random is good

1-2 with 10-4 (13-6) isn't that rare or "random". Add in the fact that your opponent had a better keeper, and both teams are in with a chance of winning (even though yours is slightly better). You find this often in real world sports and it's part of the game. The alternative would be to simply let goal chances decide who wins (regardless of who scores the most goals). You'll probably have to wait for him another couple of hours... rumours says that he was on the bottle yesterday... [;)] Randomness is good when you benefit from it, but boring when you hit the bad beat. Anyhow without some randomness I believe the game would be both predictable and boring... You are still able to win trophies in the long run, don't give up! [:)]

I still think this shotball thing is worth a run. I mean, getting a shot away is the really tricky bit, ask any footballer. Obviously we would count all shots, not just the ones on target (otherwise a team with more shots could still loose a game, and that clearly breaks the spirit of shotball). Also, goalkeeper skills wouldn't really be an issue, which is one annoying thing less. I dont understand whats your point showing you players. If you try to advertise them for sale, well... they showed their limits on the field : 4 goal chances in 90 minutes. Or maybe the tactic was poor. As i told you before, you just got a gift trophy from the game developers. Make sure you send them a "thank you" note. They did all the work for you. Loving the man-child attitude, it's like Jose Mourinho when the referee's had a campaign against him! You lost the game and that is that. For those that are deserving? Your attitude says otherwise, especially in the fact that you lost a virtual game and therefore won't recieve a virtual trophy (actually, you do! A silver one!) and a few in-game monies. Want to quit MZ because of it? Do whatever you want. :) I've got a feeling he now knows he had the weaker team. Looking back at this 'insults' and 'mind games' played? Can't stand behind his players or mention them once, instead goes straight for the stats! Bad tactics on HIS OWN part could also lead a part of it, or most likely rubbish strikers against their 9* goalkeepe!

This game is not only about players, its also about tactics. If i had bad players, then i get even more credit, for compensating with good tactics. I still didnt hear any decent reason to keep me in the game, all i hear is people happy with the simulator lottery system, and only reason they do that is they cant win on their own and need to steal points, trophies from people who worked and deserve them. PS: These are my U18 players, which combined with my tactics produced 10 scoring chances against 4 and losed the trophy...This game is not only about players, its also about tactics. Oh boo hoo! We didn't give you any decent reason to stay because although our community is small and shrinking, people like you who think they deserve it all don't exactly help us very much. You say you worked on your team and 'deserve' the trophy, well didn't your opponent work on their team too? With a BETTER goalkeeper? They had a 9 ball goalkeeper, your strikers for one were 9 ball (good) and 6 ball (hopeless). Your sub striker had 7 balls and scored late on as your opponent stamina ran out. Your opponent striker has 5 balls and the midfielder that scored only 2. That's fairly low, but against a hopeless goalkeeper? They were always going to score tap-ins after breaking past your defence. Play Intelligence for a goalkeeper is important. Your goalkeeper has 2. Their goalkeeper has 4. They really did out perform you in the back! Their defenders are slightly better too. Their tactics worked. Yours didn't. You've played ManagerZone for 10 years now so you 'threat' to leave but in reality most likely won't. And even if you did? why are we comparing @s ? everybody knows that in MZ, even a 1@ player can score against a 10@ keeper! it's a rare thing, but it can happen. (which is good if it has a 5% chance to happen) the problem is with the keepers inconsistency that got introduced 2(?) seasons ago. that's what "ruins" the "random" in the SIM and frustrated the managers (or not) It needs to be toned down. everybody knows that in MZ, even a 1@ player can score against a 10@ keeper!
it's a rare thing, but it can happen. (which is good if it has a 5% chance to happen)

the problem is with the keepers inconsistency that got introduced 2(?) seasons ago.

that's what "ruins" the "random" in the SIM and frustrated the managers (or not)

Thanks @aldebaran. Indeed my purpose is to raise a red flag to crew. I remember the pleasure I had years ago to study future opponents tactics and make counter-tactics, when tactics really matter. Of course I enjoyed when my efforts were rewarded with a win. Also, lots of times I was outsmarted by the opponents tactic and I admired them for that. Losing a cup final with 10-4 scoring chances is frustrating and makes you play future matches with a default tactic and let the random do everything. Its always funny to see how people seek to reason the randomness of the simulator with fancy explanations. You can only win one in five (give or take) games against scoring chances (and in my match wings vs passes wasnt even an extra issue). But when you win that game then the keeper was great, the players were in key positions... Just funny.... Its ALL RANDOM. Go check [i]best_modell[/i]'s U18 games... he lost enough games when he had more scoring chances than his opponents.. with the same great GK and excellent strikers [;)]

Nando Muslera has nice skills expect for ball ctr. Recent Estonian Meistriliiga goalkeepers of the season have proved very well that in order to become best GK of the season they need ball ctr. Glad to hear that. Sounds much better than the nonsense with the better keeper and all. The statistic above is unbelievable. I also had matches i won against scoring chances. We all do. I created this topic because i am very frustrated by the level of random in this game, and its not even rare, it happends every day many times. Maybe if more of us will stand up against the outrageous level of randomness, the crew will consider making it lower. Or we can just sit down be happy for the undeserved victories against better players than us.

all they have to do is return the keepers to the old "random level" they had if it means more water-polo scores, then it's fine with me it's silly seeing the same keeper catch every single ball coming his way and the next day letting all the balls go in the net. Randomness of results and erratic/inconsistent performance of goalkeepers was heavily discussed and debated by GPAs during the beta testing of the current sims we are stuck with...the justification for the current sim was to make it feasible for lesser teams win matches occasionally...but some how the occasionally has become more toward the extreme that it has become very irritable. Maybe it is because...the more matches I play the more I see it...maybe I need to play less matches and hopefully not see it as often.
