I have a concern about players residency. How many years or what other requirements need a player to get a residency in a team. Some of my players are in my team for more than 3 years ( around 9 MZ seasons) and they cant get a residency status.
Thank you!

For Canada residency status takes 45 days. You will be able to pay for it on the 1st August. For more info http://managerzone.com/?p=news&nid=70346.

"PAY for it?" Are you kidding? This is just another money-maker for MZ? So, I guess it doesn't matter after all that none of my foreign players are accumulating anything.

Pay for it with mz money not actual cash. Feel free to actually read the news instead of coming to random conclusions.

MZ money -- power tokens -- correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that what I have been buying with real money? I don't remember getting any power tokens with random conclusions.

... or is it the same money we "spend" for example to change the name of our stadium?

MZ money as in to buy players, upgrade your stadium, pay salaries, purchase fairy dust etc etc...Power tokens are power tokens or PT's, I have not really heard them being called anything else.

I can confirm that the currency used is MZ Club cash
Not Pow Tokens.

MZ money is the virtual money you receive (from ticket sales, etc.) or spend (salaries, stadium upgrades, etc.). Power tokens are "coins" that are needed to purchase certain features or join any league other than the senior league, and they can either be obtained by unlocking chains of achievements (not that effective), opening ads or filling out surveys (not that secure as you may get viruses or required to register an account on a website), or purchases with real cash (use your discretion there).
One question, will I lose the foreign player if I don't purchase a work permit when he reaches the minimum residency days? I've read the manual but it doesn't address that point. Let me know if it's too obvious of a question. Thanks.

no, you will not lose the player.
purchasing a work permit simply allows you to purchase another foreign player by opening another "foreign" slot. my recommendation is to only purchase work permits for either your younger players or the players you see in your long term plans. otherwise you're just kind of wasting your money (club cash - not actual $ or power tokens) :D.
