Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eddie Binsol got the match started through his kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Artur Sanger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Switzerland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Philippines the free kick. Artur Sanger kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. A hard shot 6 in the game by Kubilay Türkyılmaz from a close distance when the talented Roy Nangpi managed to make a qualified save. U21 Philippines's players were relieved. Roy Nangpi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lovis Lukas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lovis Lukas in the 17th minute of play forced U21 Philippines's goalkeeper Roy Nangpi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arthur Pumaren during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of U21 Switzerland booed when U21 Philippines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Pumaren didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lovis Lukas came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the U21 Switzerland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lovis Lukas couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of U21 Switzerland:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of U21 Philippines:s goal. U21 Philippines's Roy Nangpi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save U21 Philippines from getting a goal against them. Lucas Seitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Merlin in the 34th minute of play. Roy Nangpi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kubilay Türkyılmaz in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of U21 Switzerland booed when U21 Philippines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Parotong didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Kubilay Türkyılmaz came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the U21 Switzerland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kubilay Türkyılmaz couldn't finish the play. Roy Nangpi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lovis Lukas in the 41st minute. The audience was convinced that Kubilay Türkyılmaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roy Nangpi was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The U21 Switzerland players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Philippines were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Kubilay Türkyılmaz made the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the match, U21 Philippines's goal looked a bit too open when Lovis Lukas came free, but Roy Nangpi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of U21 Switzerland booed when U21 Philippines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Parotong didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Switzerland's Gael Netzer was substituted for Jerold Fassbind. U21 Switzerland's Emilian Padula was substituted for Artur Sanger. In the 73rd minute, Kubilay Türkyılmaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roy Nangpi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. U21 Switzerland made a substitution. Olof Arnold replaced Gautier Vitelli. U21 Philippines's Roy Nangpi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lovis Lukas in the 79th minute of play. Roy Nangpi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kubilay Türkyılmaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, U21 Switzerland's Olof Arnold got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kubilay Türkyılmaz in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roy Nangpi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roy Nangpi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kubilay Türkyılmaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Philippines's Carl Parotong got his second yellow card of the match in the 89th minute. The referee ordered Carl Parotong off the ground. After 90 played minutes U21 Philippines got a freekick which was hit by Carl Parotong. After 92 minutes of play, U21 Switzerland's Kubilay Türkyılmaz made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roy Nangpi was left in no man's land by his defense there! U21 Switzerland were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of U21 Philippines for a fine match.
