Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Lukas Dupuy made the kick off and thus started the match. U21 Liechtenstein's Flavio Nigg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save U21 Liechtenstein from getting a goal against them. Thomas Batliner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Antoine Gilson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute Lukas Dupuy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoine Gilson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Lukas Dupuy notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of U21 Malta's Antoine Gilson. Antoine Gilson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Flavio Nigg made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Miguel Piscopo sent off a good shot on target. 11 minutes into the match, Miguel Piscopo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Nigg. U21 Liechtenstein's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Piscopo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Antoine Gilson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Batliner in the 18th minute of the match. Antoine Gilson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralph Zünd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, U21 Malta's Miguel Piscopo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Nigg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Etienne Falk during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, U21 Liechtenstein's Etienne Falk got a free kick in the 25th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charles Teuma Castelletti was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of U21 Malta booed when U21 Liechtenstein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Okan Ritter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josh Carbonaro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 57th minute, Josh Carbonaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antoine Gilson made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Thomas Batliner sent off a good shot on target. Kenan Ott's late challenge caught a U21 Malta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
