Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Thierry Henry started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd match minute, U21 Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damazy Dejo to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, U21 Poland's Lucjan Sedzikowski got control of the ball when Oinomoas Demarchis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute of the game Lykaon Vlahos made a throw-in which Manolis Moundalexakis played forward. After a rather tough play, U21 Cyprus's Apostolis Lagidis got a free kick in the 15th minute. Pēteris Schmeichel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thierry Henry, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, U21 Cyprus's goal looked a bit too open when Thierry Henry came free, but Pēteris Schmeichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Thierry Henry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pēteris Schmeichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1-0 became the score in the 29th minute when Iphikles Spyridis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 31st minute of the match, Iphikles Spyridis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lucjan Sedzikowski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Oinomoas Demarchis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucjan Sedzikowski having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Thierry Henry made a precise shot to the right of Pēteris Schmeichel. U21 Cyprus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. U21 Cyprus's Pēteris Schmeichel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Izydor Kochowski in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, U21 Cyprus's goal looked a bit too open when Thierry Henry came free, but Pēteris Schmeichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes of play, U21 Poland's Thierry Henry made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pēteris Schmeichel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pēteris Schmeichel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
U21 Poland made a substitution. Mieszko Chodzinski replaced Olo Pan. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manos Lalas to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucjan Sedzikowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalkhas Patrianakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manos Lalas in the 59th minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Lucjan Sedzikowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes of play, U21 Poland's Thierry Henry made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pēteris Schmeichel was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of U21 Cyprus booed when U21 Poland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ares Milikowsky didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucjan Sedzikowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leukothoe Atsidakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pēteris Schmeichel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miska Cavia's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Ares Milikowsky succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-6 in the 90th playminute. In the 93rdth minute of the game Miska Cavia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Cyprus's Pēteris Schmeichel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
