An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Souza in the 6th minute of play forced U21 Cyprus's goalkeeper Pēteris Schmeichel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, 【AC】Black Dragon『湘☆军』™NB's goal looked a bit too open when Leukothoe Atsidakos came free, but 于兴文 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leukothoe Atsidakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pēteris Schmeichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Souza in the 69th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Samuel Souza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pēteris Schmeichel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. After a rather tough play, U21 Cyprus's Oinomoas Tekosis got a free kick in the 84th minute. Simeon Akrivopoulos hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Leukothoe Atsidakos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Cyprus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. In the 97th minute, U21 Cyprus's Nicias Protopsaltis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nicias Protopsaltis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of U21 Cyprus protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nicias Protopsaltis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Pēteris Schmeichel had in the 98thth minute some difficulties stopping Ulryk Rutecki's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 99 minutes U21 Cyprus's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was 高凌远 who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in 陆广宁 heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
