Eustaquio Turi in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Erez Manco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Erez Manco stood somewhat misplaced when Eustaquio Turi came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 5 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Villagomez in the 8th minute of play forced U21 Mexico's goalkeeper Jesús Incendio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th match minute, U21 Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artemio Naike to maneuver through the defense. Xanti Lastras, 12 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jesús Incendio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Villagomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian Etxeberri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Oliver Tsubasa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erez Manco. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 24th minute Eustaquio Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erez Manco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the U21 Peru defense, Oliver Tsubasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erez Manco. The U21 Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erez Manco should have stopped the shot. U21 Mexico's Jesús Incendio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uzuri Sarabia in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Oliver Tsubasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erez Manco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, U21 Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Uzuri Sarabia came free, but Jesús Incendio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

U21 Peru's Erez Manco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Turi in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 played minutes U21 Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Naike. Ariel Villagomez's late challenge caught a U21 Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ariel Villagomez helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of U21 Mexico booed when U21 Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Villagomez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eustaquio Turi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver Tsubasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jesús Incendio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uzuri Sarabia in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to U21 Peru getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Franco Iranzo hit a great ball. Erez Manco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Tsubasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 66 minutes of play U21 Peru's Ariel Villagomez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to U21 Peru getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ariel Villagomez hit a great ball. Erez Manco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Tsubasa in the 69th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franco Iranzo during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes U21 Peru got a freekick which was hit by Franco Iranzo. 79 minutes into the game, Kev Hurtado threw the ball into play from the sideline. U21 Mexico's Jaime Iago quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to U21 Peru getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Franco Iranzo hit a great ball. Jesús Incendio came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Peru's Uzuri Sarabia. But to his dismay, Uzuri Sarabia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Erez Manco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Turi in the 96th minute of play. U21 Mexico walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
