Seating: 2370, VIP seats: 206) Enzo Dossena made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, U21 Czech Republic's Jakub Podzemský seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jakub Podzemský the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of U21 Czech Republic protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jakub Podzemský had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. If Enzo Dossena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 54 minutes, Christian Shaarawy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Italy and the U21 Czech Republic players grew even worse after the yellow card.
