Virgiliu Cerbu kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Dorin Pârlea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ted Fiedler was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Dorin Pârlea had several of the Luxembourg's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 73 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moldova's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
