Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Miguel Sanches started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 4 minutes of play, Luxembourg's Wladimir Wasilewski made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hong Cheng Cheng was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, FC Lëtzebuerg's Fabian Hoffmann got a free kick in the 9th minute. FC Lëtzebuerg's Miguel Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hong Cheng Cheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Wladimir Wasilewski came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Luxembourg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wladimir Wasilewski couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Sanches in the 21st minute of play forced Luxembourg's goalkeeper Karlheinz Ludecke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Sanches might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karlheinz Ludecke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Sanches ran back to his position shaking his head. 23 minutes into the match, Luxembourg's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Sanches came free, but Karlheinz Ludecke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wladimir Wasilewski in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hong Cheng Cheng saved FC Lëtzebuerg from getting behind. Miguel Sanches blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karlheinz Ludecke having to make a save. 30 minutes into the match, Luxembourg's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Sanches came free, but Karlheinz Ludecke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karlheinz Ludecke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Apfelbaum in the 35th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Luxembourg defense, Miguel Sanches kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karlheinz Ludecke. The Luxembourg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karlheinz Ludecke should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute Wladimir Wasilewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hong Cheng Cheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Apfelbaum was the one to do the kick off. Hong Cheng Cheng came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Luxembourg's Wladimir Wasilewski. But to his dismay, Wladimir Wasilewski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wladimir Wasilewski in the 62nd minute of play forced FC Lëtzebuerg's goalkeeper Hong Cheng Cheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Hoffmann made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Luxembourg's Frankie Majerus. Ivan Apfelbaum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luxembourg's Frank Schubert was substituted for Klaus Pichler. Luxembourg's Felix Kirschbaum was substituted for Miguel Sanches. Hong Cheng Cheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wladimir Wasilewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luxembourg were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
