Spectators: 1028 (Terracing: 772, Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aidan Mabrouki started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Díaz in the 7th minute of play forced U21 Belgium's goalkeeper Philipp Neirynck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 played minutes U21 Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Pere Herbella. A collision led to U21 Uruguay getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Pere Herbella hit a great ball. Aidan Mabrouki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Silvio Agosto made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Belgium's Aidan Mabrouki slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Silvio Agosto. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. Philipp Neirynck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramón Díaz's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes in the game Pere Herbella did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Terciero Ferrer. Philipp Neirynck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Figueroa in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Aidan Mabrouki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Agosto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Philipp Neirynck came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Uruguay's Gonzalo Figueroa. But to his dismay, Gonzalo Figueroa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Silvio Agosto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aidan Mabrouki in the 35th minute of the match. Ramón Díaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philipp Neirynck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play.

U21 Uruguay's Damaso Horcasitas was substituted for Pasqual Cerecedo. U21 Uruguay's Argoitz Tramarria was substituted for Pere Herbella. Gonzalo Figueroa struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Philipp Neirynck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Uruguay. Haimar Cadrecha's late challenge caught a U21 Belgium's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haimar Cadrecha helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to U21 Uruguay getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Haimar Cadrecha hit a great ball. The throw-in from Jevgēņijs Zibaev in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U21 Uruguay's Derwin Arri. U21 Belgium's Philipp Neirynck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save U21 Belgium from getting a goal against them. After 62 played minutes U21 Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Louis Van Gorp. U21 Belgium's Vic Van Camp was substituted for Aidan Mabrouki. U21 Belgium made a substitution. Roben Eekhout replaced Bram Neys. Silvio Agosto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vic Van Camp, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute, Derwin Arri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vic Van Camp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Agosto having to interfere. Tjorven Buelens charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tjorven Buelens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes U21 Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Tjorven Buelens. Silvio Agosto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vic Van Camp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Philipp Neirynck was a little too slow when Montae Molinuevo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 1-2. U21 Belgium's Tjorven Buelens quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Derwin Arri, made in the 92nd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Vic Van Camp put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Silvio Agosto. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
